sea of strangers & lullabies by Lang Leiv

I got these 2 beauties for my birthday back in september and i was like

Sea Of strangers

It was a :

It had great poems, amazing even, but that was the minority, the rest was so cliche!

like too direct, i lovee when a poem is twisted with words, a poem that leaves me thinking about its meaning.

like i could relate to it, but only because i felt this kind of feeling before, not because its title was ” breakup”.

I didn’t connect to most of the book, it was just ordinary.

Lullabies is my favorte of thesse two books.

It was a

It was an unual kind of poetry; it had this classic vibes?

Like this:

“When every dream
has turned to dust,
and your highest hopes
no longer soar.
When places you
once yearned to see,
grow further away
on distant shores.
When every night
you close your eyes,
and long inside
for something more.
Remember this
and only this,
if nothing else
you can recall—
There was a life
a girl once led,
where you were loved
the most of all.”
― Lang Leav, Lullabies

I liked how unusal it was, i related to most of the poems, except for these small storis that were scattered every now and then, they were supposed to be meanngful, but as for myself, i don’t like when a poem is too long.

i like’em short and on point.
