  1. Oh gosh you’ve eliminated a lot of fandoms lmao!

I’ve attempted to read Harry Potter every October for like 4 years and I just CAN NOT, no matter HOW HARD I TRY do it! I don’t know why! It has all the elements I love but I just don’t find the books interesting! The movies were okay, I guess due to the hype I was expecting… more.

Eleanor & Park wasn’t so bad, I read it so long ago for review. It was slow paced and nothing happened… well okay I guess that’s reason enough not to lol.

Because of the 80’s movie IT I was unable to end ANY sentence as a child with the word It. I still sort of have that problem now in my 30’s just not as awful as it use to be as a child so yeah no. Eff reading any of his books!

I read one John Green book and it was enough for me. Just can’t dig them like everyone else.

But I love The Mortal Instruments series! I’m not big on superheroes (but my boyfriend totally is) but I requested Batman from the library to see what it’s about (I read the blurb to my bf and he was like THATS NOT HOW IT HAPPENED! I told him it was a retelling most likely but he didn’t like the idea lmao)!

I think I’ll do one of these posts since it is still Tuesday 🙂

    1. OMG you really tried to read it! Hahahaha I wouldn’t have the same patience tbh😂😂
Yes a slow paced book is a NO for me hahaha
OMG are you kidding!😮😮😮 Was it that scary?😭 I watched the new film and it wasn’t that great tbh.
Finally someone who isn’t a fan of John Green , ugh i thought i was alone😂😂
Hahahahahahha your boyfriend is so funny! ,😂😂

      1. Haha it wasn’t that scary as I ended up watching it multiple times as a child but this was back in the early 90’s! I don’t think I’d watch any IT movie now that I’m an adult though! I use to be able to just watch scary movies as a kid and sometimes enjoyed them but then anxiety came around and now even without scary movies I get paranoid (I live alone so that doesn’t help some nights unless my neighbors are being annoying)!

  2. I get the Harry Potter thing, I’m actually worried of re-reading it and realizing my childhood self had no taste. It’s better to keep the memories. I also had the TMI series in this week’s Top Ten Tuesday

  3. I understand how you feel. There are books that are so over-popularized that you just sort of lose interest in them without ever actually reading them. I feel the same way about the Six of Crows.

  4. I agree on most of these! Harry Potter is a big one. I never read it as a kid and I just can’t get into it now. I do want to read THUG and Simon vs… though!

      1. Have you seen the movies? I’ve watched the first few and they were alright. I’d probably finish them but the thoughts of a what 7 book series?😬 and also the fact that it is so hyped that I just don’t know if I could read it expecting so much, especially when it’s not my genre.

Ah, I get that. I do like YA contemporary and I want to see the movie (I also have an eARC of it that I never got around to).
